Medical Facility Work - A Specialty at Bay Mechanical, Inc.
Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters
Norfolk, Virginia
In one of BM's largest medical projects, with mechanical work
alone valued at $10 million, Bay Mechanical worked with the
W.M. Jordan Co. to construct a new children's hospital serving
the special pediatric needs of the 1.4 million residents of
Hampton Roads.
Sentara Norfolk General Hospital
Norfolk, Virginia
In another of its milestone medical projects, Bay was the
principal contractor for $5.5 million worth of mechanical
work completed as part of a major expansion in 1993. In an
earlier expansion project, completed in 1987, Bay oversaw
mechanical work valued at $3.5 million.
DePaul Medical Center
Norfolk, Virginia
In 1990, Bay completed nearly $2 million worth of mechanical
work at the hospital as part of a significant renovation overseen
by Tunrer Construction Co. In 1993, Bay completed another
job at DePaul with Keating Construction; that was valued at
$1.3 million (mechanical).
Pitt County Memorial Hospital
Greenville, North Carolina
Bay served as the primary mechanical contractor on a new patient
tower requiring nearly $2.5 million in plumbing work alone.
Louise Obici Memorial Hospital
Suffolk, Virginia
In addition to numerous smaller projects, Bay completed a
$2 million (mechanical) project at the hospital nearly a decade
ago.
Virginia Beach General Hospital
Virginia Beach, Virginia
In 1985, Bay completed a $3.4 million addition to this hospital,
the main patient care facility for the city of almost half
million resident.
